Privacy Policy

DrumPracticePro (drumpracticepro.com) is a browser-based drum sequencer and groove trainer, run as an independent project. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It works alongside our Terms of Service.

We only collect data that is needed for the Service to work or that you choose to send us:

• Account information: your email address, display name, and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored as hashed data. We never see them.
• Your saved content and settings: grooves you save, favorite beats, preferences (BPM, theme, note division), your plan (Free or Pro), and whether you answered or dismissed our short survey. All of this is linked to your account.
• Shared grooves: when you use the Share button, we store a copy of the groove so the link works. Shared copies contain only the groove itself, are not linked to your account, and can be opened by anyone who has the link.
• Feedback: the subject, message, and (optionally) the email address you enter in the feedback form. If you are signed in, your account email is pre-filled, and you can remove it before sending.
• Survey answers: your rating, how you use the app, and any comments. These are stored anonymously and are not linked to your account.
• Analytics data: page views, session duration, and general interactions, collected by Google Analytics. See Cookies below for how consent works.

We do not collect precise location or any sensitive personal data. We do not currently take payments. If we add paid plans, payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor, and we will never see or store your full card details.

• To provide the drum sequencer and run your account.
• To save and load your grooves, preferences, and favorites across devices.
• To apply your plan's features and limits.
• To host the grooves you share by link.
• To read and reply to feedback, and to improve the app based on it.
• To understand how the app is used overall so we can improve it.

We do not sell your data, run advertising, or use your data for any purpose beyond running and improving the Service.

• Contract: account data, saved content, and shared grooves are processed to provide the Service you signed up for.
• Consent: analytics cookies are set only if you accept them.
• Legitimate interest: handling feedback and survey answers, and keeping the Service secure.

• The Service relies on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting and infrastructure management. All associated servers are located in the United States.
• Google Analytics: measures how the app is used. See Cookies below.

Our servers are in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed there. AWS and Google provide safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

We use one category of cookies: analytics cookies(Google Analytics). These are only set after you accept the consent banner. Before that, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless "consent mode", in which Google may receive limited signals (such as a page view and your IP address as seen by Google) without cookies or identifiers being stored on your device. You can decline analytics cookies without losing any features.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. AWS stores login tokens in your browser to keep you signed in.

We also save a few settings in your browser's local storage: your theme, your cookie choice, and whether you have seen the survey. The app's service worker caches pages so the app loads quickly and works offline. None of this is sent to us.

To withdraw analytics consent, clear this site's data in your browser settings. The consent banner will then appear again, and you can decline.

• Account data (email, display name, saved grooves, preferences, favorites, plan) is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account from your Profile page, this data and your login are deleted immediately. Copies in AWS backups may take up to 30 days to expire.
• Shared grooves are not linked to your account, so they stay available after you delete your account. Contact us if you want a shared link removed.
• Feedback and survey answers are kept as long as they are useful for improving the Service. If your feedback included your email and you want it deleted, contact us.
• Analytics datais kept according to Google Analytics' retention setting (14 months) and is not linked to your account.

All traffic to the Service is encrypted with HTTPS. Your data is stored on AWS infrastructure, and your account data can only be read by your signed-in account. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account and all saved content yourself from your Profile page. For any other request, contact us using the Feedback button (see Contact below). We will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

This Service is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
